HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

*Nationally recognised certificate This course provides the knowledge and skills required to provide quality CPR in cases of Cardiac Arrest.
The course is conducted using Power Point presentation and practical scenarios.
Covering: Adult, Child & Infant CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Each student has their own CPR simulator/manikin to practice on.

Approximately 2 hours – depending on group size.
There are no pre-requisites/co-requisites for this competency unit.
.Involves a “hands on” approach with practical scenarios and multiple choice written questions completed on the day of the course. On completion of the course you will have the practical ability to perform CPR effectively.
On successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Statement of Attainment. Please Note: The CPR Practical must be performed kneeling on the floor in order to receive a Statement of Attainment. Bring something to kneel on if you like. If you are not able to kneel on the floor, you will receive a Letter of Attendance instead.
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) needs to be updated every 12 months, as stated in the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
