Is Life Emergency Training accredited? Will my certificate be nationally recognised?
Yes, Life Emergency Training operates under the RTO Human Emergency Response Training (RTO: 32332), which means that your certificate is nationally recognised. We follow the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (certificate).
Is there anything I need to do before my training?
Only those doing the Childcare First Aid (HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education & Care Setting) and the Asthma and Anaphylaxis course (22300VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis & 22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks & Emergencies in theWorkplace) will need to read a pre-course material which will be sent to you by email before the course. For all other courses, there is no pre-course reading.
How do I enrol for a course?
First you will need to contact us by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (0401 300 777) and let us know what course you need to do, when and where. We will send you an email with an enrolment link, which you will click on and fill out a form with your information. You will need to have a USI before you enrol (see below). You will then receive a Booking Confirmation email from our RTO.
What is a USI and how do I apply for it if I don’t have one?
USI stands for “Unique Student Identifier”. It’s a reference number made up of 10 numbers and capital letters that gives you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training. The USI is compulsory for anyone doing Vocational Education Training anywhere in Australia. When does my certificate expire?
HLTAID003 Provide First Aidis valid for 3 years as long as you keep your CPR current.
HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is valid for 12 months.
HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education & Care Setting is valid for 3 years as long as you keep your CPR current.
22300VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis and 22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks & Emergencies in the Workplace are both valid for 3 years.
UETTDRRF06B Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel is valid for 12 months.
Is it possible to have a training session at my workplace or home?
Yes, Life Emergency Training can come to you at your workplace or home to deliver a training session. Discounts apply for large groups. Please contact us for more information on group sizes, discounts, etc.
When and how do I pay for my training?
Companies paying for their staff will be invoiced after the course and payment can be made by electronic transfer. If you are an individual, you can pay for your course on the day of the training with cash or a personal cheque and we will give you a receipt.
What happens if I can’t attend the course I booked in for?
Please contact Life Emergency Training as soon as possible so we can re-schedule your training to a date which suits you better.
When will I receive my certificate?
Your CPR, LVR or Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate will be emailed to you within a few days of your course. First Aid certificates will be emailed to you as soon as we receive and mark your workbook. Please contact us if you haven’t received your certificate in the due course of time stated above.
What if I don't feel competent at the end of my course?
Relax, our courses are risk free. This means that if at the end of your course you don't feel competent, you can redo the course for free and then get your statement of attainment.
